We went to the movies again. Man of Steel was way better than this, I must say...Well, it had more plot than I expected, but the popcorn was still my favorite part....
I'm joining Tom in the ranks of medical procedures and people after an inquiring type visit to my GP today. I'm fine, thanks....at least usually!
My volunteer activities are crowding each other out! Oh, well. Blueberries loss is CONTACT's gain, I guess.
I stopped by the Cinnaminson Seniors event today. They had a lot of great vendors there. The mayor talked about doing it again next year. I'd suggest some publicity for it now that they know it works. I saw a lot of familiar faces. These fairs are so great for dispensing helpful information (and goodies, too!)
Next up: the annual WXTU concert. It's revised this year in many ways in, I am sure, an attempt to get it back to a fun filled, music-oriented environment that all can enjoy in a G-rated way.

Back to reality....
Tom is such a trooper when it comes to driving us places.
We got in at like 2 a.m. this morning...and he drove the whole way. Whatta guy!
Here we are, happy in Nashville.
So we had a lot of fun at this year's CMA Fest. I have a sampling of photos on Facebook and a gazillion on my picasa online in the CMA Fest 2013 album.
Right now I am at the library, returning our book club's bag of books and also the three I had overdue (boo hoo $1.80). I have five more and ordered a bunch I wanted that weren't available yet. Aren't libraries the best?
I see my friend Jill went to the Gardens of Sculpture today. I was going to go there with Gee Gee sometime, but now that I've seen all of her photos, I feel like I've already been! What an amazing place!
There was a tornado in Maryland that we just missed by an hour or two last night. What is the world coming to?
Two more country music events to go this summer. Speaking of which...summer! It's practically the end of the 2012-2013 school year already! Wow! And, on a nostalgic note, this year's graduating class is the last of my Delran fifth graders.....I certainly wish Kyle Melvin and the rest of the Class of 2013 the best of luck in all their future endeavors!

CMA Fest or Bust
Fifty more miles and we'll be at our destination-- Nashville, TN.
Poor Tom has been driving since 10 a.m. this morning (and it is going on midnight now!)
I had a great time at the Lisa Scottoline talk at the library yesterday, and brunch with the crowd, and the good-bye party for Louise, and then some Sugarfootin' at Prospectors. Then I started packing for this trip.
I didn't get much sleep this last week. Just stayed up really late nightly.....
I had fun working with the bachelorette party at Prospectors last Saturday and taking photos at the Camden County Retirement Dinner.
Did I mention the Friday SHIP day? I had four appointments and a call in and an attempted walk in. (I called the other two the next day.) The Update we had was good too.
How about the IRS? They are sinking deeper and deeper. And health care isn't sounding so affordable these days as we get closer and closer to implementation.. And Frank Lautenberg died :-(
We saw the new Star Trek which was a good one!
Kim got married and Margie is off crusing...Hi, Margie.

A visit from Zoe
Tom and I were delighted to be able to spend a few hours with our lovely niece, Zoe May, lately of New York City.
She came down on the train and promised to come back again someday...hopefully at a time when Alex and the boys can be with us, too! :-)

May Day, May Day
I see some friends are in Myrtle Beach right now, and others, currently in Branson, MO, will be back in Myrtle Beach soon. Unlike other years, we have no firm plans for summering on those warm sandy beaches, but chances are we'll get there, I'm thinking....
The BCEA Legislative Dinner was a very lovely affair. I was surprised no Delran folks were in attendance, but it was fun seeing all my other Association colleagues of yesteryear.
Tom got a clean bill of health from the doctor Monday, so that's the good news of the week. :-)
I am not getting enough sleep, so off to bed I go. Tomorrow is a CONTACT in-service.
As they say in wino, "Asti spumanti!"

Getting my car started
Somehow, charging $850 to get my car to start seems excessive. (Parts are $400....?) Nonetheless, that's basically what's in store for me at Lucas Chevrolet later today when I pick up my 2002 Chevy Malibu (that Triple A towed there from my house yesterday). I am so sad.
Meanwhile, on a happier, "This is what America is all about", note, it seems this inspirational pair will be running again in 2014 to honor their fallen comrades at the Boston Marathon.(They were a mile from the finish line when the bomb hit). http://www.teamhoyt.com/about/index.html
*****************************************
Yesterday was another DEAR lunch. We had fifteen people and are looking forward to next month's get together on the 22nd.
Earth Day was not as publicly touted this year as I've seen it in years past. Maybe my distance from the school environs has lessened the impact, but if so, that's a sad commentary on the world after 40+years of hearing about it.
It's nice to have free time now that tax season is over. :-) (I'm watching the Homeland series. Wow.)

April now
It's five days since Tom's surgery and he is finally feeling better. In fact, we just got back from the movies. We saw Jurassic Park in 3-D. It was really good. The dinosaurs weren't as scary as i thought they'd be, but the general 3-d-hood was better than most I've encountered to date.
I see I haven't written anything in a MONTH! I guess I was busy.
Tax season is over, I've done some things with CONTACT and SHIP and danced, and Tom had a gazillion doctor's appointments and that surgery....He finally did something about his sleep apnea and is resting much better and so am I (no snoring!)
What else? Hmm....We won tickets to a Montgomery Gentry private-ish concert and that was fun.
Sue and Patrick were in NYC for a whirlwind trip, but we didn't get to see them
:-(
I opened a bill on the way to the movies tonight and almost had a heart attack, but then realized it was my neighbor's. He wasn't home, so we left him a message. I feel terrible (and isn't it illegal?) but it was an accident. Who thought a bill from Bank of America in my mailbox wouldn't be mine?
I wish summer weather would come back; I was freezing today!
