And the snow falls on..............................

Given the chance to turn today into a snow day for H&R Block, I did. We are not as piled upon as in
the last two storms, and hopefully things will clear up quickly. I am hoping to get to both lunch with Gee Gee on Saturday and the Philadelphia lunch and show with the Commans and the Philly crowd on Sunday, so ....let the sun shine! (maybe after 1 p.m.)

Our Thursday night book club was postponed. We may be doing Edgar Sawtelle and The Necklace as one. Hmm.....

Delran (and many many other) schools were closed today. I wonder how many snow days there have been so far? What a winter!

Drive safely!

Back to work and the roads were clear but we are hearing news of more snow Tuesday night into Wednesday. Oy! Enough already!
Cowboy Kenn had this psa posted on his site and I found it well worth passing on:

...and the tax goes on..............

You work for 35 years, rest for three, and come back to work for a bit.......it's tiring!!! I truly admire all the HR Block people who have been around for years and years and know EVERYTHING about tax preparation. My colleagues at the Burlington Center Sears HR Block office are just great! It's been interesting......

So they are calling for big snow again starting tonight........Oy!....and I'm supposed to be helping out at the Burlington City HR Block office on High St. on Saturday. ( I like don't "do" snow). We'll see what's going to be happening with that........!

Gee Gee Otto and I have chosen our lunch date, now we just need the place and we're good to go!

Tom is following our Market America Transitions Lifestyle plan for eating healthier. He's doing great (and so am I!)

The Brunch group get-together at Dina's Sunday is tentatively still on...I hope the snow is cleared and we can actually meet.....it's been a long time!

Finding Gee Gee Otto

Never underestimate the power of Facebook! How long have I been out of touch with elementary school friend from Piscataway, Gee Gee Otto? Well over 30 years...and I thought she was unrecoverable. But lo and behold....one query on Facebook and ...literally moments later....Sherry Thomas (another elementary school friend) found her for me....in Westfield, NJ of all places (and get this...at one point in her life she lived in Moorestown! We're meeting for lunch soon (date to be determined). How exciting!!!

In other news, I've been working daily at HR Block (Sears, Burlington Center). I like it, actually, even though I am so tired when I get home. This is "first peak", so we are way busier than before the majority of folks had all their W-2's and other official tax materials.I've had the chance to meet some really nice folks (and you know how I love meeting new people! This is making my goal for the decade!)
