Tradition

It's Christmas today.

We met for the annual fifth grade teachers Christmas Eve morning breakfast yesterday at Diamond Diner. It was good to see everyone. (missing Janet and Frank in FL).

We've apparently been meeting like this since (at least) 2011!

Home from Florida

Our second week of vacation in cold, wet Florida (not as cold as NJ of course, but no pool for us...nor Disney). The good part was visiting with wonderful old friends.

Love, us!

The best part of coming home was picking up our luggage quickly and walking outside to find the shuttle we needed to get to our parked car right there! (Oh, and the wonderful wheelchair/luggage/getting us through TSA people both going and coming!) (And did I mention we signed up for a bigger timeshare package with Vacation Village....and then cancelled it. Whew!)

Florida!

We're ending our first week. The Fountains is quite the resort!

Okay, so it was "cold" and windy for the first few days but then it got better. I easily went right into the pool at 9 a.m. on Thursday for Water Zumba with Robyn and more fun poolside with Tom later that day. We danced at Cowboys on Ladies Night, played games like Bingo and Name That Tune at the pool, grabbed a chocolate fondue cup, and even had a caricature done to remember our good time.

It's beginning to look a lot like....

The Xfinity repairman just left. Apparently all the digging of PSE&G the other day cut some wire that was hooked up to Tom's two off the main tv's. It's all good now. Tom is back in business!

Here's what the moving of the gas meter from under the deck-where they put it in an earlier move that cost me half the brick pillar many years ago!- to the side of the house looked like.

It was good to see Russ during one of our dance sessions at Prospectors.

Yummy Thanksgiving dinner a la Tom

We have to get packing for the FL trip. We are finally set as far as parking the car and renting a car.
I need to remember to bring the sun pass, the Disney World ticket, all the flight and resort information, call Linda, Wilma, Jeanne, John and Helen, Sandy and Steve, Ed and Diane to see about getting together. Tom is looking foward to the Lobster place. Also on deck...watching for the insurance bill(s) and LTHC for Dec. too. Oh and to order the RMD from the IRA in a timely fashion.
I hope we have good weather!
Okay, time to stop the mail.....

Time flies by again!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything since September and now it's mid November. Wow.

So most recently I wanted to share this video of me dancing a fun dance at Prospectors:

Honky Tonk Way

But let's see what else happened since last I was on here...hmm....

Gearing up for Fall 2023

Tomorrow I'm car pooling to Ocean City with our Eastampton Book Club for lunch at Mary Lou's.

Yesterday after working the library book sale I went over to Prospectors for the Celebration of Jen's Life. The parking lot and room were packed with friends and family mourning the passing of my former student, Jennifer Durante Sullivan. I took a picture with the Masterson sisters and talked to Jimmy Hahn and Chrissy Harmon (former students all).

It was good to see them, but for such a sad occasion.

Other September activities included the First Day of School Trip to Seaside (not fun for poor Tom), the DKG State meeting, dancing at Stardust and the Ag Center, and BCREA exec party at Wendell's. Still hoping to get together with Dina whose been back in NJ for weeks now.

Ran into Shari Kauffman at Prospectors!

Summer draws to a close

How much does it cost to run the outside water for 24 hours? I guess we'll find out at the next bill....(Accidents happen....)

So it's September, Labor Day, actually and Tom is out buying food.

We may actually be revisiting the Annual First Day of School Trip to Seaside on Wednesday. I hope it works out. Things are going to start getting busy again. Upcoming are DKG stuff, Library Book Sale, DEAR friends lunch at Dooney's (not a large response to my recent notification email....!) dancing (Sugarfootin' or Stardust??), SHIP webinars re Medicare Advantage plans for the upcoming open enrollment and more.

Oh, and also, on Aug. 31, doomsday for time share points, we made reservations for Myrtle Beach in October, Orlando in Dec., and Las Vegas in January.  Sounds like fun.

Recovering from Atlanta tripping

I am so glad we had a chance to stay and visit with the Moores around the celebration time with Samantha's folks at Harlan's bar mitzvah.

Dancing at the Heretic

Playing Scrabble

We saw Oppenheimer again, Beej and Mike for the first time. We all liked it! Great food and good times with the Moores!

The hotel at which we stayed in Alpharetta was 20 minutes from Sam's and the synagogue, but moments from an AMC theater and Top Golf. We saw Blue Beetle and Strays while we were there.
