An Evening at Prospectors

We had so much fun at the Chuck Wicks concert at Prospectors last night! First we danced and had fun for a few hours. Then the concert started at 10 and he was amazing! In addition to his great voice and songs (he writes them), he was personable and funny and charismatic. Then he stood and signed autographs and took pictures with the crowd for over an hour! Watch for him on the CMA's!

I see I haven't written for almost two weeks. Hmmm....must have been having
fun....
Well, now it's Spring (tell that to the cold weather) and actually Easter. We are heading to Prospectors for the special brunch.

We were there just last week when
George and Doreen were in town...whoohoo! We love them!
I was really proud of Tom when he bowled a 289 Thursday in his league (He was bummed with the 9 count after the first ten strikes but it was still awesome)!

It's Fun to be Home, too

Wow, I haven't written anything since Miami??? I must be too busy having fun! :-)

Let's see....kick boxing last night was fun. Seeing Fiddler at the high school Sunday was great.

Marissa and John and Sean and all the other actors were awesome. I recognized so many of my former students...many of whom are seniors this year. I bumped into a lot of folks I hadn't seen in awhile.

We had a birthday celebration with the brunch group at Bucca's Saturday night...what an interesting restaurant that was!

We got home Thursday from Florida and went to bowling, where Tom got his award for the 835 series.

Then we went dancing. We danced Friday too ...and saw Ganine and Jim after what seemed like years!...and we danced after Bucca's on Sat. and saw Patty and met Melissa, her friend (a ringer!) and I danced on Sunday after the H.S. show while Tom was bowling in the tournament.

Yesterday I went to the dentist and got drilled. :-( but it just sounded bad....it didn't hurt.

Don't talk to me about taxes. or the stock market. And now Jeff and his family aren't coming to visit in April after all.....but maybe they will sometime!

Leaving the beach will be hard!

This is our last day here in Miami. Our time went way too fast!
The beach was great yesterday and Tom was having lots of fun in the water. I think we are heading there again soon.
Tonight we are going back to the RoundUp in Ft. Lauderdale. We had such a good time Sunday night dancing, we want to try it again before we have to get up at the crack of dawn for our return to cold NJ flight.

Moon over Miami

Just checking in briefly.....our Florida vacation in Miami is going well and we are very glad to be here.

We had a good flight, the temp room was fine, we hung at the pool at Solara while waiting for our real room to be ready, the place is huge and lovely. We did a city and boat tour today, which was informative and fun. Sue's old neighborhood...Coral Gables...was on our agenda and it was great seeing all the places I'd visited with the Mays in years past.

We are looking forward to the rest of the time here too.

Off to Florida!

I did a ton of errands today from glasses to library, ABCO to Rite-Aid, gym to bank.
Speaking of which, the big story on Sallee news is a warning: Don't ever rip a check in half if there is even the slightest chance you want to cash it someday. 'nuff said. :-(

We didn't dance tonight, which is a disappointment, but we are so close to packed it's amazing. Maybe we will actually get some sleep before a trip for once. Whoo hoo!

Earlier this week FL had a big power outage. I'm hoping everything is fixed for our coming visit! And I am so looking forward to the warm!!!!

See you in March!

Good show!

Tom and I went to see Stephanie DiPilla in "Don't Dress for Dinner". It was really funny and she was so good in it! What a great actress!

Lou was there, too, and he told me Marissa is going to be in the DHS production of "Fiddler on the Roof" so I am going to go see that after we get back from FL next week.

After the show we went to Prospectors for Sugarfootin' Sunday and it was really crowded again. We met Terri up there and it was great to see her after all this time.

Tomorrow we have training at the gym appointments and I have phys. ther. too. The actual time juggling is yet to be determined, but I am sure it will all work out.

Some really good news is ....I found the "missing" library book. Bringing them all back before we go is on my list of things to do (and get the one I lent to Ganine back, too!) before we leave on Thursday. Then I can get more to read at the beach!
(ah...warmth! I can't wait!)

Snow what's new?

The forecast was for snow in the wee hours and into the day and, sure enough, there is snow on the ground now (4:30 a.m.) I wonder if this means a snow day for my old school chums.....(Doreen has the week off anyway, so no snow day for her....just hope they can get George to the surgery without any trouble...)

Yesterday's Mark Chesnutt concert at Prospectors was good. What a change to see the artist in full size close range! LOL He sang with his two guitarist cohorts for two hours! We had a chance to do some quality dancing before he got there, too, so we had double the fun!

Guess what? Jeff and family might be coming to visit us in April! How exciting!!!

Tonight's dancing after bowling was fun, and Terri might be coming out tomorrow :-) and Sunday as well. Whoo hoo!

This was the second night in a row we watched hours and hours of "24, season six". (Go, Jack, go!)

I wonder if the library will take an exchange for book I seem to have lost somewhere between Florida and Mt. Holly? (and I didn't even get to read it :-(
Stay tuned for the outcome.
