Just about a week to go for tax season and one month until the Fiftyish Reunion.
Time sure flies!
I can't believe I forgot to take pictures at the committee meeting in Piscataway last night. Everybody liked the pens I ordered and we got a lot of items taken care of ...or at least designated to be done. The bad news is I never booked our room at the hotel and now we found out there aren't any available. :-( What to do, what to do....
Meanwhile, we are going to Myrtle Beach May 1 (packing and leaving after we get home late April 30th from the bus trip to NY to see Finding Neverland !??!)
I am sad that we are missing Margie and Mike who it appears will be in Myrtle Beach this week (or next?).
I still intend to call more classmates to let them know about/invite them to the reunion, but unless they are quite nearby it is probably too late. (That alumni information gathering company disk was a waste of money, that's for sure.)
Tom is hurting these days. I hope the therapy he has set up helps.

What a ride...what a view....
AZ is now in the past....so long, in fact, that I got my Shutterfly photo book back already in today's mail!
The online photos of Sedona and the Verde Valley Train Ride are up online for posterity and whenever I feel like revisiting them.
We had a wonderful time!

Arizona
We flew in via Southwest and they were so wonderful about transporting Tom via pushed wheelchair.
The traffic from the airport to our resort was horrible! (4 p.m. traffic) but we arrived safely and the place is beautiful....especially the pool....and our first floor window and porch facing it.
We had fun in the water.
I attended a morning pool exercise class and afternoon walking tour and lecture about the desert plantlife. Our horticulturist guide was awesome! I took a lot of photos (too bad I couldn't tape the whole talk!)

Steve and JoAnn Murza came to visit and then we went to a country bar for dinner and dancing.
We signed up for a ride in a hot air balloon for tomorrow and a scenic train ride on Monday.
I contacted former Delran student Danielle Sheeran who lives in Peoria AZ now and it turns out she lives walking distance from our resort!!! So she came over to visit.
We hope to get together again before we leave.
Then we journeyed to Buckeye to visit Steve and JoAnn Murza at their place for dinner and fun.
Here are the photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/118365729514060459107/AZMurzasVisit#
including our first one together.
We are looking forward to the rest of our time here (which, hopefully, will include visiting Cody, who currently lives in Scottsdale, but is away travelling with Patrick in Tokyo).

My Fifteen Minutes...?
Today's lunch with Jill and Mike got pushed to next Saturday for an early dinner at John and Molly's here in Eastampton, which leaves me with the DKG Initiates Tea and Sugarfootin' Sunday at Prospectors for the rest of the day's activities. Tom went out with friends to play golf (first time since he pulled whatever in his leg and was in agony for months!)
The title of this blog post refers to the fact that I was quoted in the Courier Post on Feb. 20. (Rosina told me about it.) I am actually in the accompanying photo too (just the little tiny head looking down in the background on the right of the picture :-) [It seems I can't insert the word doc I copied the article to...ok, I'll just paste my part of it :-) The article was about the ongoing Burlington County Senior Police Academy being presented currently.

Roberta Sallee taught for 35 years in Delran before retiring.
She’s enjoyed the first two weeks of the class.
“It’s great,” said the 66-year-old Eastampton resident, who
added the Virtua app to her phone along with many of the others last week. “We
have a senior group so it was our thing to do for the month. But when I
realized it was a six-week course I was like, 'I have to move things
around,' because after the first one where we learned CPR, I knew I wanted
to come to all of them. Today was very interesting.
“What the Sheriff’s Department in Burlington
County has done for the seniors is just wonderful. Jean is a wonderful
sheriff.”

Fun Day in NYC with Marc
Yesterday was so much fun, albeit very very cold out.
I took the train to Penn Station, found Marc, got Kinky Boots tickets at Time Square, had lunch at a Celtic Pub, did some window shopping (indoors!), saw the (wonderful!) show, and took the train home.
Photos of the Day.
It was great to see Marc after all these (7!) years. We had a great time!
Today is back to HR Block and Happy Valentine's Day to the most wonderful husband in the world, Tom Sallee!

No Chris Christie for President
Best article ever: http://www.bobbraunsledger.com/4759-2/
In other news, Marc Beemer is in NYC and I am planning to see him Saturday.
Work at HR Block has been long hours and many days during peak. There is still time for $1000 winners and I sure hope a bunch of them are ours!
I saw that Zoe was in Ireland and am looking forward to hearing all about it.
Tom is having (other one now, oh no!) knee problems. We haven't danced in like forever (combination my tired and hours and his out of commission).
I am looking forward to seeing the Brunch group, Gee Gee, and my DEAR friends one of these days....and my reunion committee, too.
May is getting closer and closer! I am so looking forward to the Fiftyish Reunion!

More snow
I was surprised to see the snow falling this morning. I guess I've been too busy with taxes to keep an eye on the weather!
People are pouring in now, despite the IRS computers' breakdown this week. They are up and running again, thank goodness.
Just 10 days left for entry in the daily $1000 for 1000 HR Block clients sweepstakes. I'm hoping for more and more winners in our Liberty Square, Burlington, NJ office.
Hope to be dancing tonight...it's been awhile!
Stay warm!
