Free...well not quite...

It's beginning to look like the end of March...where does time go? I mean really.

So, we went to Dr.Dwosh the other day and now that adds surgery/procedure number three to Tom's list of medical things to plan out, timewise. We already lost the Myrtle Beach vacation time due to knee replacement surgery mid April and probably won't be able to make it to Hannah's wedding either :-( But if Tom is relieved of all this pain he has been suffering through, it's worth it. We have to call the throat surgeon Monday to see about that one and the timing thereof.

So I spent all morning working on a "free" photo book from Shutterfly and when I was finally finished, it was more than I eexpected (of course!) so I tried to back out to a different version and it looked like I lost all the accompanying verbiage (and format). I was starting to be very unhappy....but then I figured out how to get it back and paid the extra part, begrudgingly (It's still a good deal, really..) Here is my finished project (with, I'm sure advertising for others to do it too!)(Sorry about that).

You'll love Shutterflys award-winning photo books. Try it today.

Working on it brought back a lot of good memories....and also brought to my attention how hard it would be to find any one specific photo from ALL the gazillions I have all over my computer and the internet. Hmmm.........

Love Story Comeback! Whoo hoo!

Meg and Robin are coming back to Prospectors tonight for a re-teach of the dance they choreographed for Taylor Swift's "Love Story".
Here is the video Ken had up on YouTube for it:

March 2014- Welcome to Medicare!

You know you're old when......
Medicare. Really?
Now I guess I'll be deluged with EOB papers like Tom has been for the last year. So confusing (but so grateful to have the health coverage we do!) Speaking of which....
Tom apparently got the word on his appointment for knee replacement surgery....two days before his birthday and just in time to thwart our planned Myrtle Beach vacation in early May and threaten (if not end) our plan to attend Hannah's wedding in Arkansas later that month. The good news is...he'll stop having all this pain and be able to walk, bowl, golf, dance, exercise without worry. (Ideally he'll be fine for stomping all over Nashville for Fan Fair 2014).

I am heading out today to first the DKG annual Combined Meeting and then out into the cold for the Mt. Holly St. Patrick's Day parade event for HR Block marketing purposes.

They are calling for yet another big snow event on Monday. (This is like the 15th one this winter season!).

So since I posted last a lot has been going on. The highlight was the trip for Sarah' wedding, a very happy event which included not only shmoozing with the Goff's and assorted new friends, but also hooking up with Austin based Dittfurths (whom we met in Hawaii five years ago), the Ross family (finally met the boys and also learning that both Samantha and Bradley are expecting new babies this year), and having lunch with Roxanne at the Atlanta airport during our layover there. (Her wedding is Oct. 18th in Atlanta.)

February 2014!

I guess I've been too busy with taxes and more to write in awhile and I am heading out there again soon, but I wanted to share this tear-driving video I just saw on facebook- a beautiful bride singing down the aisle to her groom. I dare you not to cry watching it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUrqEoeJ1DA

Things are going along well with us for the most part. Tom and his health issues go on, but we are still dancing and enjoying life.

We are dining with The Brunch Group tonight and I am looking forward to squeezing in a lunch with Gee Gee on Tuesday. (Is snow coming? All the weather we have been having this winter has been quite white, scary, and often. :-(

We are looking forward to seeing the Goffs and attending Sarah's wedding. It's coming up really fast now!

Jennifer posted a Bruce Springstein song in honor of Jeff (two years gone....it's still hard to believe).

I taught some Eastampton Seniors how to play "5000" and they LOVED it. (Of course I gave full credit for the game to my CA sister Jennifer!)

Fire and Ice

I put my warm ski clothes and H&R Block hat today and attended the Mt. Holly Fire and Ice Festival.
It was a cold day, but I was as warm as if I was on Killington in VT ready to hit the slopes.

A lot of folks stopped by our booth and I had a chance to sample some mighty fine chili, too.

It snowed!  but I braved the roads to and from work and lived to tell the tale.

Speaking of snow, there have been a couple of biggies since last I wrote. This is getting to be some white winter!

I am really looking forward to the Austin trip/wedding. It will be great to see all the Goffs and I'm lining up other assorted relatives along the way (see Samantha in Texas and Roxanne in Atlanta ...and wouldn't it be great to hook up with our aloha friends Doug and Leslie?)

Fun with Friends

Tom came out for the first Sugarfootin' Sunday of 2014. The last one was in November and the next isn't until Feb. 2. It was quite and crowd and we had big big fun!
This morning was the official Brunch Group of January. Ann and Ted look good and they caught us up with the goings on of the family relatives. MIke is so excited about heading to Israel in March. I should hook him up with Jon!
Our tax talk for the Eastampton Seniors went well. I hope the Contact in-service version is a good one too.
Wow, that's Wednesday. Better get this show on the road!
Back to work tomorrow. Tax season is a slow starter because of the two week shut down of the government back in late 2013, but we'll be very busy soon enough, I'm sure.
We are looking forward to Austin.

A New Year

Let it not be said I didn't resolve to write in this blog more for 2014...

That being said, the new things are how cold it is and is going to be (I mean really cold...they are warning us how to keep the pipes from freezing), the fun we had at Prospectors for New Years, the plane reservations made for Austin for Sarah's wedding, Tom joined the new gym, and the new tax season is underway.

Also, the last minute replacement brunch for 2/3 of the Brunch Group on Sunday cost us $42! Hmm...I hope next week at the crepe place is more reasonable! :-) Ooh la la crepe!
