Post Fourth of July...and didn't that used to mean summer vacation was on the downside? Of course it's always vacation time now (sorta...)!
So....Margie's party was great, as always. I just realized we drove off with her Scrabble game so I really have a great excuse now to get back there and play!I met GeeGee Otto for lunch in New Brunswick and had big big fun! I'm going to see her again in August and Linda (Kepnach) Price is coming to NJ in August, too, and we are making plans as well. :-)
We did a quick turnaround drive to Baltimore airport yesterday to pick up Tom's mother for a visit. Then we spent four hours on the internet and phone trying to work out a plan to get her wheelchair fixed.
Prospectors is closed for summer renovations. We headed to Parx Casino Tuesday to enjoy Cowboy Kenn and NicoleLineDancing at their new venue for music and dancing. Big crowd! It was fun seeing a lot of familiar faces from yesteryear (as well as yesterweek! lol)
We were disappointed to miss George and Dor while they were in NJ. Turned out we independently enjoyed 4th of July week-end fireworks, but we look forward to seeing them soon at Jambo.
It has been extraordinarily hot this summer (and spring, too) this year so far.(Is the world more and more like a disaster movie, or is it just me noticing all the weather extremes, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, oil gushes, and accidents?)
Happy 70th birthday, Ringo Starr!
