Recovering from Atlanta tripping

I am so glad we had a chance to stay and visit with the Moores around the celebration time with Samantha's folks at Harlan's bar mitzvah.

Dancing at the Heretic

Playing Scrabble

We saw Oppenheimer again, Beej and Mike for the first time. We all liked it! Great food and good times with the Moores!

The hotel at which we stayed in Alpharetta was 20 minutes from Sam's and the synagogue, but moments from an AMC theater and Top Golf. We saw Blue Beetle and Strays while we were there.

Post bar mitzvah spread at the synagogue

Healthy at Home

Well, the website is https://healthyathome.aetnamedicare.com/  and the exercises are easier than Max used to be but something, right? :-)

Talking about healthy, Tom's not very :-(   and I am going to the doctor tomorrow for weird tongue-ness, so there's that.

Meanwhile, I had fun at Jeremy's dancing yesterday in Roebling at the Oddfellows lodge party. I won a door prize (everyone seems to have!) and didn't win the 50-50

We've danced a few times at Prospectors (loving the new stamp 10 get one free cards!) after a long stretch of not.

Movies have included Barbie and Sound of  Freedom, Asteroid City, Mission Impossible, and others.

Still plans to be made for the Atlanta trip.

Cody has a wedding date and venue set! :-)

Other July events were:

Piscataway lunch at Zinna's Bistro

Eastampton Book Club

DEAR Friends Lunch at Dooney's Pub

Friends of the Burl Co Libe Board Meeting

Poor Tom!

I went to bed after 3 a.m. Thursday morning. Tom woke me up at 5  to take him to the ER because he thought he might be having a stroke. By the time we left at 8, we knew it was x Bell's Palsy.

Poor Tom! But better than a stroke for sure. He is doing okay, but it is hard to eat and drink with a drooping mouth (his eye seems okay so far. It is the left side...which is the eye he couldn't see out of and is working on getting better already.... )

In other news since I last wrote.... our air conditioner  broke in the heat, but Martinelli came to fix it.

I had lunch with Gee Gee. (I also had lunch with Judi more recently, but didn't take a picture. And then, sadly, she wrote to tell me Ron's wife passed away)

So, yes, I guess I've been keeping busy since tax season ended. Add movies, dancing, and even just started HRB classes to get ready for next tax season. (Did I mention I watched all 19 seasons of Grey's Anatomy....in less than 3 weeks?)

Tom's birthday vs taxes

I was up and getting ready for the last day of tax season- this year, April 18. I checked in on the computer and was greeted by the Facebook reminder that it was Tom's birthday! Poor Tom. My 15 hour stint at HRBlock killed any potential celebration. I will make it up to him....after I get home from the day after the last day of tax season shift at the office.

It's been a busy one.

April 2023 is here!

April already?! (and a no snow winter has passed...)

Tom and I drove to Bensalem PA to hook up with Ann and Gina for the first time in person since pre-pandemic.

It was so great to see them!

That was April 4th.

Today I had lunch with the DEAR group, Tom and I went to the movies and saw Air and then we went dancing at Prospectors. Sadly, we left early because poor Tom wasn't feeling very well.

Not much tax season left now. I was off for two days and tomorrow I have like six appointments in a row! Oy.

April!

A quarter of 2023 is gone already! Where does the time go? Well, HR Block was a lot of it, that's for sure- as in every day!!

I waited until the very end to start trying to preserve photos from my 28 shutterfly share sites (not all were worth it). I stirred up some good old memories in the process, which was nice.

Here are some more recent memories:

Photos of activities from January through March

They are of: Library Friends Board meeting, our new waterbed installation, dancing at Prospectors, library book sale, Sugarfootin' Sunday, friends at Prospectors, Katherine's 60th birthday celebration, DKG combined meeting at Riverwinds, BCEA Rep Council, Mark's St. Patrick's Day birthday party, Prospectors dancing, Eastampton book club meeting, Prospectors, and Tom's eye doctor testing of eye problem (He has to get a shot in his eye! once a month for awhile)

Upcoming: lunch with Ann and Gina, DEAR lunch, last weeks of tax season, NJREA luncheon

We have a room and a flight for CMA Music Fest 2023!

Tomorrow is April....no fooling! :-)

Appreciate every day!

Yesterday I learned that a former Association friend (Rose Muriel Rains) passed away a year ago (Jan. 9, 2021) to be exact (ok, 2 years ago  :-(   and in trying to share this belated sad information I found a photo of the BCEA officers (circa unknown-but look at my hair!).

Trish Gaines, R. Muriel Rains, Ton Bogdan, me, Ruth Forlines

Guess what? I am the only one still alive. :-(   That is too scary.
