Tom's birthday vs taxes

I was up and getting ready for the last day of tax season- this year, April 18. I checked in on the computer and was greeted by the Facebook reminder that it was Tom's birthday! Poor Tom. My 15 hour stint at HRBlock killed any potential celebration. I will make it up to him....after I get home from the day after the last day of tax season shift at the office.

It's been a busy one.

April 2023 is here!

April already?! (and a no snow winter has passed...)

Tom and I drove to Bensalem PA to hook up with Ann and Gina for the first time in person since pre-pandemic.

It was so great to see them!

That was April 4th.

Today I had lunch with the DEAR group, Tom and I went to the movies and saw Air and then we went dancing at Prospectors. Sadly, we left early because poor Tom wasn't feeling very well.

Not much tax season left now. I was off for two days and tomorrow I have like six appointments in a row! Oy.

April!

A quarter of 2023 is gone already! Where does the time go? Well, HR Block was a lot of it, that's for sure- as in every day!!

I waited until the very end to start trying to preserve photos from my 28 shutterfly share sites (not all were worth it). I stirred up some good old memories in the process, which was nice.

Here are some more recent memories:

Photos of activities from January through March

They are of: Library Friends Board meeting, our new waterbed installation, dancing at Prospectors, library book sale, Sugarfootin' Sunday, friends at Prospectors, Katherine's 60th birthday celebration, DKG combined meeting at Riverwinds, BCEA Rep Council, Mark's St. Patrick's Day birthday party, Prospectors dancing, Eastampton book club meeting, Prospectors, and Tom's eye doctor testing of eye problem (He has to get a shot in his eye! once a month for awhile)

Upcoming: lunch with Ann and Gina, DEAR lunch, last weeks of tax season, NJREA luncheon

We have a room and a flight for CMA Music Fest 2023!

Tomorrow is April....no fooling! :-)

Appreciate every day!

Yesterday I learned that a former Association friend (Rose Muriel Rains) passed away a year ago (Jan. 9, 2021) to be exact (ok, 2 years ago  :-(   and in trying to share this belated sad information I found a photo of the BCEA officers (circa unknown-but look at my hair!).

Guess what? I am the only one still alive. :-(   That is too scary.

2023!

....and another one bites the dust

No, I'm not talking about the year. I just got an email notifying me that Shutterfly is shutting down their share sites. I have 28 of them! Now what? I hope they'll offer an alternative and method of transferring. :-(

Since the year started big things were my first day back at Block, our talk with Dr. Berkman re Tom's cancer revisit chances, my mammo callback, ending session of zumba, couple of movies, The Magicians five seasons, Friends Board meeting, haircut this morning, open house at Lynn and Wayne's tonight. No dancing yet.

Computer time!

At Jerome's buying a new computer...well, 2  computers (a new laptop for Tom) and a new top for my maligned laptop.

Wish me luck with windows 11!

Oh, Chanukah!

So, I can't believe I haven't put anything on here for a month! :-(  What have I been up to? Our mailbox fell down and is still grounded. No one has come to help us after our failed attempt at digging through embedded wood in the old hole. Also frustrating is the fact that Dr. Berkman has never called us back regarding the scary biopsy report language Tom read following his surgery.

There have been a lot of holiday gatherings. Yesterday the Eastampton book club met at Pandora Diner. I gave them cards, a random recycled book in a shopping bag, and some sugared nuts. (They loved the bags! LOL) But I never took a picture! :-(

Others included eating with DEAR friends, Friends of the Library, BCEA, BCREA, Sigma and I'm heading up to Cranbury to see Gee Gee today. :-)  (That's a lot of eating, and sadly no exercise to speak of with Tom being too post surgery recovering to dance). There was the library book sale, Bruce's concert, the woman singers, and Charlie Zaun.

Actually, I have to send some Christmas cards today or forever hold my peace.
