Xfinity or bust

This morning's funeral service for Rick Trout, fellow SHIP volunteer, was very sad. He passed away unexpectedly at age 74 and he will be missed.

From there, I met up with Tom at the Xfinity store for our 1:30 appointment to switch our cell phone service to xfinity from verizon and get (relatively free) new phones. Three and a half hours later we walked out with not only the two new phones, but also our old phones, functioning on the new plan with new phone numbers. Cool, right?

Looking back a few days, Tom went to church on Sunday, we celebrated Veterans Day with Tom golfing (and hurting after :-(, a haircut for him, and dinner at IHOP (Applebees, fancy-like) had an hour and a half wait (not enough servers to accommodate).

Only danced on Wednesday, but there's always next week!

Daylight savings time is over

And now it is November! I shake my head in disbelief.....

So there was the wedding week-end and fun here with Jennifer, and Van Gogh, and back to dancing at Mastoris and Prospectors. There was the election (Yay for Governor Murphy!....what a nail biter!), and the NJREA and NJEA conventions, and today's paper shredding event.

Time Flies!

I have got to be the world's worst blogger!

It is going to be November in less than two weeks and I last wrote when it was almost September! Have I been busy? Let's see....

I'll grab pictures and figure it out from that, but offhand I'd say....doctors appointments and Tom, some dancing and movies, Caitlin's wedding and Jennifer here, of course are biggies....still no Max Challenge, sadly, Pat Hummell moved to S. Carolina, I finished all HRBlock requirements, I did a lot of reading, Contact seems to have gone by the wayside- for now, anyway. What else...?

Oh, yes, I visited with some friends- Janet and Kathryn (right before school started)
Tom in his glory with four games going....

Surprise! Kathryn invited Ron to lunch with us as well. So good to see them both!

I "attended" the September DKG state meeting zoom.
Danced with Tom at Prospectors an Mastoris a number of times (no masks...kind of scary...Oh! I got my booster at the end of September...yay...Moderna should be out for Tom soon)

We've started meeting in person for Eastampton Book Club.
Started meeting Gee Gee again for lunch (at Zinna's Bistro in Cranberry) after a 19 month, Covid related stoppage.

I'm a BCEA rep for BCREA again this year.
Our guest speaker at the DKG Fall meeting was a woman who works with abused women.

They celebrated Jennifer's birthday at Sue's with Anayah (who also was celebrated!)

Carol's audibles book club featured the author who wrote The Heirs. (Actually, I had read a book with the same title by accident first!)
                                                     Dancing at Prospectors proof...

Tom had surgery to remove skin cancer by his nose.

This is a video call with Jennifer.

We bought a suit for Tom for the wedding. (My first time in a
                            store in 19 months!

The wedding was in Massachusetts and all went well.

I have a photo album of it.

Another in person book club meeting.

Zinna's again, this time with Jennifer joining us.

and then she had to leave. Boo hoo!

So that was yesterday....taking Jenn to the plane.

Today I hear Eastampton is having its annual Trunk or Treat and Bonfire. It doesn't seem to be very well advertised, but I guess the kids got flyers.

I only miss how the Rec Committee used to be in the old days. Not on it now is okay so far.

And that's it. :-)

End of summer.....happy to be retired!

It's hard to believe next week is September!

Pandemically speaking, we felt freer for awhile, but spiking (mostly due to Delta variant) is happening again and we are at the "ready for the booster" stage. Sad to have missed two years' worth of time share travel. :-(  but not feeling ready to venture out (even if we had any points left!)

Here are some photographic memories from the last month and a half!
