Latest events

Since we've been back, I went to the big #Fixtheunfairness rally in Trenton

(See pictures)

and Darry's party.

Someone posted a video of people (with me the most!) dancing to Trashy Women.

Today Tom went to play golf (second time since we've been back. I am glad he is feeling well enough to get out on the links (and he was dancing yesterday, too!)

This week I have two book clubs and three lunches. Ah....retirement is definitely the way to go! :-)

CMA 2019 info and photos on padlet.com

So this seems to be a fine way to display the highlights of the most recent Nashville experience.

On the road home from Nashville

Wow, have  I really not written on here since mid-May? That seems like a lifetime ago.
I am sure a lot of things have happened since then, but most currently we enjoyed a wet, yet wonderful, week in Nashville for the 2019 CMA Music Fest.

We didn't do as much running around as usual, Tom even less than I, and the weather did have a lot to do with that. Meanwhile, we loved having Tom's little walking thing, both to help him physically and to use as a chair at times.

We went to every nightly performance at Nissan Stadium and were delighted with our seats in the front row.

It's raining really hard right now as we approach the end of TN...after gassing up moments ago in no rain!

Power to the people

I was awakened at 3 a.m. this morning to the sounds and sights (lights off and on and off and on) of popping flashes of power off power on. Scary!
Now, almost 3 p.m., we came home to find lights on, but the internet was off and now the big tv isn't working for dvr and who knows what else? :-(

We met Ann and Gina for lunch at the Michaels restaurant in Bensalem, PA. It was so good to see them!

Here is a photo of me on kickboxing day. Don't I look tough? :-)

That's a roundhouse kick, by the way!

It's May!

Some videos on Facebook with me on the periphery are now online. Some are from Prospectors Thursday night (went after the BCEA Teacher Appreciation social which was quite nice, although I was disappointed that absolutely no one else from Delran or BCREA was in attendance...(?!)

This one is from Leg Day, Thursday, May 9th, at The Max Challenge (maybe you can't see it without Facebook and being a member of our private page). Here's a still shot from it (That's back of me top right wearing my Delran H.S. musical t-shirt. The front says Feed Me! from Little Shop of Horrors).

7 a.m. class

Love my Mt. Holly  Max Challenge! (miss my Maple Shade friends).

Meanwhile, mid decision of who to get for our new roof  replacement had a commercial break as Tom and I spent all afternoon working on the design and implementation of getting a tarp up to cover our shingle-challenged shed until it can be roof restored as well. It was not easy!

I wonder if the Mays are back from Norway yet. I can't wait to see more photos.

The Senior Expo was fun and I won a gift certificate to the 130 Diner.

I visited Margie and had fun playing Scrabble. I hope she is feeling better soon!

Tom has been dealing with a lot of health issues and doctor appointments. I hope he gets relief soon. Meanwhile, I am fine, so far....knock on wood.

April 17th

Happy birthday, Tom!
Tom's birthday is tomorrow.
Today he had surgery. I guess (hope!) the present is things are looking pretty clear with the bladder and surrounding areas...better than the doctor had been thinking. Of course, the pathology report is yet to come, but I have high hopes of good news there as well. Now we just have to concentrate on back and hips and get them better too.

Tax season is over and I am HR Blockless for awhile now.

It looks like my calendar is full for the next week or so with lunches and Contact and SHIP update. I want to call my ailing and grieving friends and visit them.

Exercising at The Max Challenge is still my very best habit (although I didn't get to attend today, due to Tom's surgery and post operative watch out. (Oh and we have to go see Dwosh twice tomorrow too....maybe we can have cake and ice cream in between....?)

Did I mention I spoke to our newly found cousin Greg? Turns out Howie had a baby that was put up for adoption. He currently lives in Wayne, NJ and is eager to learn more about his birth family relatives. (He just found out to....through DNA sharing with Nathan!)

Aetna people called for an in home consultation, so I set one for the 29th. Hmmm.....

Do you know how old I am???

Wow, I can't believe how neglectful I've been of this blog! It's the middle of March and I can't even remember all the things that have happened since last I posted.

Well, the wedding was great and it was wonderful to see everyone.

The NYC and VA trips took up the first week that the IRS starting accepting tax returns, so I missed the start of the big time action during peak, and I was working like every day after that until recently.

There were other activities here and there (and of course movies and dancing!)

Helping at the library book sale

Rec Committee Youth Painting Workshop

Lunch with DEAR friends

Birthday flowers from Jennifer

Finding old friends at Gee Gee lunch at Metro North

I went to Tom's bowling one night, too. That was fun. He is hurting now, though, so he didn't go this week. His hip is the newest addition to the pain company. Poor Tom!

We are already looking forward to this year's CMA Fest, now that we have secured a place to stay while we're there. I will look for a good deal on a flight out, but probably we will be driving.

No Jamboree in the Hills! :-(

Here's a link to a video in which I am not featured, but show up on the right hand side, dancing the 38 step: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu2TDUrDJ6J8H8_pjwrSaGdIRztPjcd4Blv8uE0/ (on Susan Sutphen Instagram if you can get to it...)

This is a captured still from the end:
