Fun Day in NYC with Marc

Yesterday was so much fun, albeit very very cold out.

I took the train to Penn Station, found Marc, got Kinky Boots tickets at Time Square, had lunch at a Celtic Pub, did some window shopping (indoors!), saw the (wonderful!) show, and took the train home.

Photos of the Day.

It was great to see Marc after all these (7!) years. We had a great time!

Today is back to HR Block and Happy Valentine's Day to the most wonderful husband in the world, Tom Sallee!

No Chris Christie for President

Best article ever: http://www.bobbraunsledger.com/4759-2/

In other news, Marc Beemer is in NYC and I am planning to see him Saturday.

Work at HR Block has been long hours and many days during peak. There is still time for $1000 winners and I sure hope a bunch of them are ours!

I saw that Zoe was in Ireland and am looking forward to hearing all about it.

Tom is having (other one now, oh no!) knee problems. We haven't danced in like forever (combination my tired and hours and his out of commission).

I am looking forward to seeing the Brunch group, Gee Gee, and my DEAR friends one of these days....and my reunion committee, too.

May is getting closer and closer! I am so looking forward to the Fiftyish Reunion!

More snow

I was surprised to see the snow falling this morning. I guess I've been too busy with taxes to keep an eye on the weather!

People are pouring in now, despite the IRS computers' breakdown this week. They are up and running again, thank goodness.

Just 10 days left for entry in the daily $1000 for 1000 HR Block clients sweepstakes. I'm hoping for more and more winners in our Liberty Square, Burlington, NJ office.

Hope to be dancing tonight...it's been awhile!

Stay warm!

Fun Day with Tom

Tax preparation is underway at HR Block, but today was a fun day for Tom and me.

First we went to the movies and saw Room. Then we went shopping and I got some new coats and other things. Then we ate at the Hibachi Grill.

It was fun to drive fairly unrestricted roads after the big Blizzard of 2016!

Winter has arrived

Did I mention it snowed the other day? What a surprise. Now the wind is howling and the last temperature reading I saw (via my smart phone) was 17 degrees. Oy!

So tax season is on! Today is the day the IRS is open for business, even though we've been preparing tax returns since the 4th.

The one Sugarfootin' Sunday this month was a lot of fun....standing room only by the time I got there after work....or should I say dancing room only?

There was a reunion meeting in Piscataway last week. Things are moving along and it was good to see everyone. I got a little off track on the way home and it took me longer than it should have, but it was good to see parts of the state I'd never seen before! :-) (thank you GPS, you troublemaker!)

I have been very busy with two or three things every day. Biggies were lobbying in Trenton, senior meeting, senior book club, dancing, lunch with Gee Gee, DEAR lunch, the reunion meeting, work at HRB, BCREA exec meeting, SHIP counseling, Lynn and Wayne's Open House, quick drive to Virginia to see the Goffs, brunch with the Commans.

Now they are talking possible snowstorm Friday night/Saturday. Hmm....I liked the freakishly unseasonably warm weather we had for so long much better......

A new year and a visit with the Goffs

It's actually been the new year for over a week now.

Meanwhile, how fun it was today to see so many Goffs and visit with them in Arlington at Sandra and Bill's home.

The Wascuras are heading for Cameroon for three years (!) and we were so happy to meet Amelia for the first time before they left.

Happy holidays!

We were away in Florida for about two weeks and had fun. Tom was the sole driver both ways and all went well ....except for a mailbox/taillight incident having nothing to do with traffic...but that's a tale for another day.

We got to visit with Diana and Linda and Joanne, which was great. We were sad to miss Wilma, but got to talk anyway.

It continues to amaze me at the number of acquaintances we have that visited Disney World in and around the time period we were in the area.

Since we've been home we have danced and seen the new Star Wars and gone out to a lot of lunches and dinners (well, I have anyway!). Tom got himself an I-pod at last and he is very happy. More health things are ongoing, but we are dealing with them.

Hooray for newly thinner Margie (hi!) and all her cruise and vacation tripping.
